Large carousel galleries not loading on mobile browsers anymore
-
I’ve been publishing large carousel galleries of movie frames for a few years without issue. The galleries have always loaded more slowly on mobile devices…but they did load. This week, I noticed an error message on my iPhone 15 in both Chrome and Safari whenever I tried to navigate through any of the carousels. They still work fine on my iMac and MacBook. WordPress support suggested breaking down the galleries into several carousels of 50 photos each, which did seem to solve the problem for the one post I tested it on, but it’s going to be a lot of work to go back through all the old posts and do that. And then the user will have to scroll down after each carousel to and find the start of the next one. Is this some change on WordPress’ end with how carousels are are displayed? Anyone else having a similar issue or have any advice?
Here’s a breakdown of what’s happening. This is from Safari, on my iPhone but something similar happens on Chrome.

Update: Had a friend check on his Android and he says the carousel galleries work fine. So maybe this is a new issue with IOS?
