Large images issue

Since I changed my theme, large images are not loading full-size anymore.
Examples at bottom of this page:
https://kunstvensters.com/2023/10/03/rineke-dijkstra-vangt-het-vervliegen-van-de-jeugd/I guess that this is coming from the theme settings, but I don’t think I can change the settings myself. Anybody a CSS solution for this?

Hi there,
I’m not sure which specific images you are referring to in your post (linked above) can you point out which ones you are having difficulty with? It’s difficult to tell if the issue is with your new theme (Magazine Elite) or with the way you have added the images to your blog post and they are not adapting as expected.

All images that are posted as in single image box (not in gallery boxes), see other examples here:

These images should be page-wide. Now they load smaller, leaving a blank space on the right of the image (in desktop version, mobile is ok).
I worked with 2 themes before in which they were page-wide, so this a theme issue probably, not the way I posted them. Maybe posting them as full-size instead of large would solve the issue, but this would mean changing 1000+ pages manually. So I just prefer to change the theme settings.

This appears to be related to an image sizing issue that has been reported to us by other site owners as well. Our developers are taking a look at what is causing this, but in the meantime there is not a specific fix we can employ on your site. We will need to hear back from our devs on this, and will update you as soon as we know more.
To clarify, this is only an issue with older posts (what you have shared so far) but does not affect newer posts you have created since the time you changed your theme? Or it affects all posts?

It affects all posts where I use the image block, as soon as I use the gallery block, then everything is ok.
Would be great to have a fix soon, this really affects the appearance of my website. -

In the mean time, I’ve also tried to find solutions with the theme developer, but nothing seems to work. He thinks that the Jetpack image optimization might be causing the issue. But this plugin is managed by wordpress, so there is nothing I can do here. -
Switching of the Jetpack image optimization tool, solved the issue.
So for now I’ve switched Jetpack off, but I don’t think that this is great solution. Would it be possible to use the Image optimization without resizing images?

Hi!
I’ve posted of a similar problem here and gotten NO response from anyone on the forums (which is why I’m intruding here, sorry OP!)But in my case, the older posts are showing resized images just fine and clickable but all the recent posts, it doesn’t matter what sizing format I choose, they are all showing at full page-width and I cannot get them to be anything but – including thumbnails.

Hi @anansi42 thanks for your report. Our developers are currently investigating what is up with image sizing, but we do not have an update at this time, so I am not able to clarify on when this will be fixed. Staff will update this thread for everyone here as soon as we know more.

Sorry to intrude like this on another thread but I was getting no response/acknowledgement to posting about this issue twice before the last few weeks so was hoping to register my problem here since there was actual interaction taking place.

The main issues we were having with image sizes should be resolved now. If you’re still having trouble, please update us here!

I just checked in and it is working on new posts and I clicked back through a few recent ones and it seems to be working at least for my blog.
