Large Import Possible?

    I exported the contents of my blog while I was at one webhost and now want to import it to a wordpress installation I made at another webhost.

    My xml file is large, nearly 12 mb. The wordpress control panel says the limit is 2 mb. I thought this limitation might be connected with the new host so I asked them to expand the limit. They expanded it to 20 mb. But I am still not achieving an import. Is this a limitation of the WP software? Is there anything I can do?

    I made other back-ups: sql; also copied and downloaded (via ftp) to my computer all folders.

    What is the easiest way to get my content and settings restored?

    The blog you specified at ruleofrosemysteries.com does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

    This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.
