Last comments shown first for one page only?
-
The problem is this:
In our multi-user blog http://mygranma.wordpress.com we’ve created a page:
http://mygranma.wordpress.com/newswire/
so that visitors could place there links for interesting topics that have nothing to do with the latest post etc.But what happens in a view weeks, when there will be hundreds (hopefully) of comments on that page? How can someone view the latest comment on that page, without having to scroll down for ages?
I have found some options in the settings, like showing the last comment first, but if I pick that, for example, it is aplied to the hole blog, which is not something we like.
Is there a way to apply this option to that page only?I am also open to hear other ideas on that issue,
like a “comments rss feed” for that page only (if that’s possible),
a link to the last comment that we could place to the top of the page (if that’s possible)
or anything else…The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not that I am aware of.

You cannot change the comment order for just one post or page, it does have to be set for the entire blog at once in the Settings > Discussion page in your blog dashboard.
You can get the comment feed for any post or page that has comments on it by putting “feed/” at the end of the URL, like this:
http://mygranma.wordpress.com/newswire/feed/ -

To link to a comment, just click on the date above the comment and copy the url that appears in the navigation bar.
Your post:
http://a8liothtes.wordpress.com/2009/11/13/ddr-3/
last comment:
http://a8liothtes.wordpress.com/2009/11/13/ddr-3/#comment-4329I don’t know how you’d make that update automatically, though.
