Last Name, First Name order

    Hi,
    is there a way to use a ‘first name – last name’ in categories and display it ‘last name – first name’ on a menu populated from categories.

    For instance, if I name a category Johann Sebastian Bach I need to display it as ‘Bach, Johann Sebastian’ or ‘Bach, JS’ or ‘Bach, J. S.’ on the menu.

    If I name the category (or tag) as ‘last name, first name’ then the themes I prefer separate multiple category names with commas and it becomes messy… and populous composer or author name lists are supposed to be in last name order.

    So, in brief, is there a way to categorize with a word and display on the menu with another without a plugin?

    Hi there,

    What you describe isn’t possible using the built-in features of WordPress.com. There might be specialized themes and plugins that allow you to categorize and sort, but this will require you to upgrade to the Pro plan.
