Hello all,
I’ve started a post at the Last.FM forum asking for this functionality. Please visit it and reply showing your support.

Thanks,

@ni9n
I hope you have sent in a feedback making your request. That’s because it’s staff that make the decision and not bloggers. I also hope you understand that the only place we are allowed to promote our blog posts on the forum is here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=7101
P.S. You are not the only wp-com blogger who has blogged on this. -
Hi again,
I’ve just checked the LastFM forum link provided by ni9n, and here’s the response over there:
“* I believe it would be the people in charge at wordpress.com who you’d have to convince on this one. “FYI, I wrote a message to the WP staff last month and I got no reply from them yet.
I’ll keep you posted.Cheers.

@nunoromano
I supported this and my feedback is pending, too.There’s great new stuff coming from WordPress all the time. Just the same and if possible, it would be great to know some more about projects which are upcoming, too.

Well, whoever says you can’t add Last.fm because of Java, or HTML, or any other widget is just not knowing what he or she is talking about, and it does not matter if it is a blogger or the owner of the damn WordPress. I have been developing websites for 10 years, and if the staff here is not competent enough to allow java AND still protect THEIR butt, well guess what it is not my business.
Do like me, got to Blogger. I spent 1 hour figuring out everything I can’t do here, and it took me 1 minute to add Last.fm widget with all the java it contains on Blogger.
Bottom line, the problem is not Last.fm, it is not you, it is not me, it is not java, it is WordPress!

If you check the other threads on this issue in the forum searchbox you will find that the position of wordpress.com seems to be that lastfm is supposed to create a widget for us that works on our blogs rather than the other way around.

Erk. (Sounds of strangled gasps).
In the meantime, I suggest you try the alternatives listed by roadsofstone26 in this thread.
As another route you could try projectplaylist.com – there’s a how-to message here:

Good luck !
