Late Fee Penalty on Renewing Domain Name

    I went to renew my domain name, (theamateureye.com) and found I can’t renew without paying the $80 late fee. Not only will I not be renewing that domain, I will soon no longer be a customer at all.

    Hi there – I’m very sorry to hear that, and I understand your frustration.

    Your domain theamateureye.com expired on February 22. Before it expired, we sent email warnings and displayed notifications on your dashboard.

    We offer a grace period of about two weeks after expiry during which domains can be renewed at the regular price. After that, we must impose a late fee that is passed on by our registrar partner. Virtually all registrars impose a redemption fee following the grace period.
