Latest 2014 WP Updates – Not Happy

How do you make updates and take away so many features? Updates and “Improvements” fix problems and ADD features. They should NEVER take them away!
The latest WP updates have taken away several features I use on a daily basis and it’s really annoying!
1. You can no longer add media and resize images by percentage. That means I have to find a graphics package, scale the image to the size I want in the post, and manually enter the dimensions and remove code for ‘medium’ or ‘thumb’. Gee thanks for making my work twice as difficult.
2. You can no longer define color by HEX code. Who thought this was a good idea? What modern day package of any kind forces it’s users into static colors? Of course, once again, I can edit the code directly and enter the hex code manually into the html <span> code.
I’ve noticed by some of the other posts placed here in the forum that other users aren’t happy about these changes either. This is a huge FAIL WordPress! And a good way to force people to leave your services for other host platforms!
NEVER take away functionality from users on “improvements” to your interface. Their NOT improvements when they don’t exist any longer.

I couldn’t agree more!
It’s not an enhancement when you take away functionality. What was the purpose of that anyway? Someone couldn’t copy code and make a few tweaks to maintain what has already been given to people?
I feel like a kid in school who sat down to eat lunch, only to discover teachers have to take my lunch away because someone didn’t make a payment. Gee thanks for making my work more cumbersome.
I’m not happy either.
