Latest blog not on home page
-
Hi all,
My latest blog isn’t showing on my homepage, or being listed in my ‘latest blogs’ list, and my dashboard says I’ve written nine blogs, when this is my tenth. There is an option at the top of my homepage to click on to read the new blog (called ‘older, not wiser’ if you’re looking), but other than that, it’s like it doesn’t exist. I haven’t changed any settings, and previous blogs have appeared on my homepage as I write them. Can anyone help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Is it possible that you set either one or more post up post as “sticky” posts. If so then it or they will remain “stuck” to the front page of your blog until you edit and remove the “sticky post” and then click “Update”. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

Good idea, thank you, but I just checked and the post that’s on the homepage isn’t sticky. It’s also weird that the latest blog doesn’t appear anywhere on my dashboard, which it obviously should do. Hmm…

Are you talking about this? It isn’t showing on your homepage or your ‘latest blogs’ list because you’ve published it as a page, not a post. -
Oooh, that sounds right, Panaghiotisadam. How do I change that? (I need detailed, step by step insturctions, not just ‘change it on the dashboard to a post’. I’m a bit stupid).
