Latest Blog Post Deleted

Hello,
On Saturday 28th July I posted my latest blog post. It has been fine and gathering views up and until this evening. I checked on my blog and the post had been deleted (not by myself and no one else has access to my account). It has been reverted back into my drafts and to a previous unfinished draft of the post. I am extremely confused as to how this has happened. I have republished the post with a back-dated date and luckily I still had a completed copy of the post offline. Could you please explain as to how this has happened?
Also, some followers when signing up to email notifications have found that the confirmation link isn’t actually a link and so are not able to confirm their subscription? Is this something that I can correct?

Hi there,
Our audit logging for your site, clouttingtravels.wordpress.com does not show that a blog post was deleted recently. Our records do indicate that some media files were deleted four days ago and the email address on the account was updated two days ago.
I’ve also looked at the post history and don’t see any indication of bad acting.
If you did not update your email address, I’d recommend double checking it is correct from https://wordpress.com/me/account and if needed also changing your password at https://wordpress.com/me/security for extra security.
