Latest blog posts on a home page

  Hi,
  I for some reason don’t see any blog posts on the home page. Where do I set it up?
  Thank you.

  Hi there,

  A static page (rather than a listing of your posts) has been set for your site’s front page via the Static Front Page panel of the WordPress.com Customizer.

  If you’d like to instead display a listing of your posts on the front page, then check the option next to “Your latest posts” from that panel.

  Alternatively, you can set a separate “posts page” that’s accessible elsewhere on your site by following the steps here:

  Set the Homepage

  Thank you for you response. I followed the tutorial and added Blog — Posts Page, it showed the latest blog on the home page in the customer once, but then it goes blank again. In other words, there is not posts showing up on either home page or the blog page itself. Are they not supposed to be automatically generated? If not what is the next step?

  Actually, the post shows up on the Blog page: https://notbyartalone.com/blog/ but still nothing on the home page. I would like to have some text on the homepage (front page) and then a preview of the latest blog post.

  Hi Helen,

  Posts don’t display on a static front page by default.

  If you’d like your posts to display on your home page by default, then you can select the “your latest posts” option from the Customizer’s Static Front Page panel. You can then set a sticky post to “stick” some text to the very top of the home page. (More information on sticky posts can be found here.)

  If you would like to keep the static home page in addition to the blog page, another option is to add the Display Posts shortcode to the page’s content.
