  I don’t know how they would feel about this. From a technical point of view, it would mean soemthing like five extra MySQL queries each time the home page is displayed. Don’t know how the servers are running. (They seem to be fine but still…)

  I was going to start a new thread on the same subject, but just came across this one. I would love to see a “recent comments” functionality. I realize there’s a recent comments feed available in some themes, but having it on the front page really spawns discussion. Another post said that this is one the future list of features with no specific timeline, so I’ll be patiently waiting.
