Latest Post is not most Recent Post

I published my 41st post today and up until this point have had no issues with WordPress.

However, while the post I published is showing at the top of the list of Recent Posts, it did not take its place as the Latest Post. So, the main post that shows on my home page remains an earlier post.

I have ensured the format is Standard, I have cleared my cache, I have manipulated the publishing dates and sticky features to no avail. What else can I try? This is the first time I have this problem. The only thing I can say that I did a bit differently was create a new category, which I later disabled just in case. No luck.

My settings prioritize my posts by most recent date (not static)

How do I ensure my most recent post is featured as the latest post?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I tried this out on a test blog and found a post will either show up in the Featured Posts section or the Latest Post section, but not both. Featured Posts takes priority. If you select “stick to the front page” for a post, then it shows up only in the Featured Posts section. If the “stick to the front page” option is not selected, then the post shows up in the Latest Posts section only.

You know, I tried this last night and it didn’t help (the sticky feature). I tried it again this morning and it worked. I’m also finding some other quirky things going on in Chrome that are resolving themselves today on other sites.

That was the fix. Thanks so much for the help
