latest post published in wrong place on my home page

  Hi there
  I have just posted a new blog post and normally they appear as the latest post, however my latest post I just published has appeared further down the page?? not sure why. I’ve checked the settings and dates and all looks fine – can you advise please? thanks

  Posts as published in order of datestamps so if the date is correct and if your other posts above it are not sticky posts I have no explanation for you. Have you read this Expound theme description page? http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/expound/ That theme which I use does not operate in the way you may think it ought to.

  Your first five posts with the tag set above and a Featured Image set will show up in the featured area, with the most recent being the primary featured post and the remaining four in columns beneath it, as shown in the demo.

  Thank you very much. I finally worked out what I had done by looking at the theme and I seem to have set a tag which meant the posts with this tag stayed at the top. Having removed the tag, it then became the latest post. Many thanks again
