Latest post was CHOPPED IN HALF!?!?!

All of my post that I wrote after the <MORE> jump disappeared when the post was published. What happened??? And is it retrievable, or is it gone forever??? Do I need to re-write this???

I don’t see a jump at all. Is it possible that the last auto-save was before you put the break in, and the rest got deleted by a glitch or something? Check your drafts anyway, just in case.
I always, since the first month I was here, hit “Control A” and “Control C” to select everything and copy it. You just never know what’s going to happen; I had a weird glitch today myself and everything but the autosave went Poof! This way I had everything including the coding on my clipboard and could just paste.
Sorry if that doesn’t help, but hopefully it’ll prevent problems in the future, no matter what might crop up.

I updated it, after the second half of the post disappeared (that’s why you are not seeing it now). I just want to know if my original post can be retrived from anywhere…
I set it to auto-post at 6am this morning. It was all there when I Published last night- the jump and everything after it was gone when I woke up this morning. Do previous drafts get saved anywhere? Is the original version retriveable from anywhere? I’m pretty sure this has happened to other people… i read this on http://missbeancurd.wordpress.com/

Previous drafts do get saved. Go to your dashboard, then Manage, and if you have drafts it will list them at the top of the page. If it’s not there then I think it may be irretrievably gone, sorry to say.
There have been issues with the delayed-post function, but I thought they were fixed. Search for “Future Posts” in the forums and you’ll find the info. Send in a feedback, this is a major issue, obviously.

were you using the Rich Text Editor (WYSIWYG, you see bold, italics, etc) or the normal editor (you see raw HTML codes)?
I’ve hit a bug with the normal editor before where it was chopping my posts. But as far as I know no one else has had it happen to them.
When you clicked “Save” was there a dialogue “are you sure you want to discard your post”? I saw that last night for the first time.

Thanks… I just re-wrote the post, and updated it manually, so it will show as whole now. Hopefully it was my mistake and not a site-wide issue… but I’ve never had that problem before…
