I have changed the way my posts appear on the front page. Part of that change is leaving out the post ‘title’. However, wordpress automatically gives each post a numeral title if you do not assign a specific title to your post personally.Example: I create a post without a title, wordpress will call that post “452”. Consequently, in my widget: ‘latest posts’ this number will appear as post title.
My question:
Is it possible to give each post a title, without the title appearing above each post?It’s hard to explain..if you visit my blog hopefully my question will be a bit clearer.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As far as I know it’s not possible, and if you value search engine drawing power, it’s a terrible idea to get rid of your titles. Titles are THE most important factor in search engine analysis of a site. Without titles, Google doesn’t know how to rate your blog, so it basically ignores it.

Thanks for your quick response raincoaster. I’ll try to incorporate titles again. (bummer :( )
Just a last remark, maybe a work-around could be possible? For example I set the font of my titles in black, that way they wont show on the main page, yet they are still there?
Only that I have tried changing the font of my titles and I can’t get it to work, I suppose that that is not possible either? -
It’s a terrible idea, but it is possible. Type this in the title box, minus the spaces:
& n b s p ;

If both of you agree that it’s a terrible idea, I’d better not leave out the titles from now on.
I’ll try to find a work-around WITH post titles. -
While we’re at it, does the same apply for leaving out Page titles? (being a terrible idea)

Static Pages have so little Googlejuice that it almost doesn’t matter what you do with their titles.

You can only change the font of titles with a knowledge of CSS and the paid CSS upgrade. Otherwise, you’re stuck with the prefab themes on WP.com and the titles are not as configurable as the rest of the text.

Yes, if you mean publishing pages instead of posts, that’s also a terrible idea.
Workaround is hiding the title by moving the image higher. You’re using the Excerpt, right? Do it this way:
<div style="position:relative;top:-40px;margin-bottom:-40px;"> IMAGE CODE HERE </div> -

Thanks for all your help, I have decided to start using (private) posts instead of pages for my blog, until I feel I’m ready to publish a chapter of ‘StarCraft Adventures’.
