Latest posts not showing; blog off center

  i’m totally mystified, never had a problem with my blog or wordpress but tonight, my latest posts aren’t showing up and the blog posts have widened…can’t seem to fix it….any advice would be hugely grateful…..i tried to remove my latest two posts but the same effect happened…thx

  If this is the blog you are talking about, http://cohennews.wordpress.com/ , everything looks fine to me.

  What browser and browser version are you using?

  Have you tried logging out of wordpress, clearing your browser cache and cookies, restarting your browser and then looking again?

  i’ve tried it both in firefox and IE. I’ll try to logout and try again – thx.

  Wow, that did explode. There are bloggy parts scattered everywhere. Even the W3C validator blows up when trying to check it.

  Go to settings writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and click “save changes.”

  Open each post on the main page in the editor, starting with the latest, and make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “update post.” Hopefully wordpress will automatically correct any errors that could be causing this.

  Keep moving back through the other posts on the main page until the problem (hopefully) goes away.

  It worked…thank you SO MUCH. Couldn’t have done it without your help….wow…odd.

  For the future, what is the w3c validator? (Just in case…)

  It’s a utility that will tell you what errors it encounters in the code of your page. It’s helpful, as long as you know what steps to take to correct the situation. Not all errors it finds can be corrected by us WordPress.com users.

  Glad that took care of the issue for you. With that change at settings > writing, it should keep errors from creeping in on you in the future.
