latest way to submit wp.com blog sitemaps to google

  I tried wp.com sitemap submission method mentioned at
  http://tigredefogo.wordpress.com/2007/05/08/tutorial-google-sitemap-solution-for-wordpresscom-blog/

  but google showing multiple warning and error. is above method outdated ? then what is the way to submit sitemaps? or will wp.com will ping google every time when i made post?

  I don’t know what’s up with the sitemap thing, I could never get it to work on my .com blog. On my self-hosted blog, no problem, but not here. Perhaps someone else will have an idea.
