I just pasted that LaTeX code into my test site and I did not get a parsing error. I also don’t see an equals sign in your code. Can you make sure you gave me the right segment of your equation?

Now, you refer to an equal sign.
There should not be an equal sign. The statement I am making refers to the left side of the equal sign on a previous line. I am saying it is the latex expression. -
