latex formula showing all the way to the left
-
I followed the instructions on https://wordpress.com/support/latex/#more-information but when I preview the formula on my post, it shows all the way to the left side, next to the border of the window. How can I align it to the left of the block? How would I center it?

Hi there!
Could you please give us a link to the post where you have added the formula? We’ll have a look.

I haven’t published it yet, so I’m not sure whether you can see the post.
How do I send you a screenshot? -
Hi there,
This is how it is displayed on my end:
Are you seeing something different? If you do, I suggest clearing your browser’s cache or trying a different browser.
If you want to send us a screenshot you can upload it to your Media Library and we’ll be able to see it. Here’s how to take a screenshot:

Thank you for your support. The issue is now fixed.
The problem was that I inserted the latex expression in a “custom HTML” block, instead of using a paragraph block, and the formula went all the way to the left edge of the window. Therefore, I tried to use the <p> tag to align the formula to the center of the page, which also failed, because it went to the left margin of the block. Why is the HTML block ignoring the alignment of the <p> tag?
I uploaded a screenshot on that same post linked before of what I saw.
