LaTeX not working

  Hi, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I cannot get LaTeX code to appear on my site.

  I’ve tried writing in both the ‘Visual’ textbox and the ‘HTML’ textbox.

  When I type into the ‘Visual’ textbox:
  $ latex < sum_{n=1}^infty > $
  I expect to get that sigma symbol with the labels, but what appears on my site is just that string ‘$ latex < sum_{n=1}^infty > $’

  When I type into the ‘HTML’ textbox, I get: ‘$ latex $’ appears on my page. How can I get the math symbols to appear?

  Your code is wrong (spaces and wrong symbols).
  Try with this:

  $latex sum_{n=1}^infty$
