Launch free website without a plan

    I want to launch my free site but the only options I have when I go to launch the site are for paid plans. At wordpress.com/free it states under ‘Will I have to pay for my custom domain’ that ‘Without a plan, your custom domain will simply redirect visitors to your free subdomain’ but I have no options that I see to launch ‘without a plan’. Please help. Thank you!

    Hi there,

    The upgrade doesn’t affect the launch of your site. If you reach the page where you’re prompted to choose a domain, there should be an option to skip the domain purchase on the launch screen.
