Launch of .wordpress.com blog

  I have designed a free plan blog with a .wordpress.com suffix and when I try to launch it, it asks for me to commit to a plan and payments. I was under the impression that the .wordpress.com suffix allowed me to be online free…please can you tell me how to launch the site free? Thanks

  Have you tried the “Launch site” button in “settings”?

  Thank you…yes, and the launch button takes me straight to a page that requires me to choose a plan, when the site is set up with a ‘free’ plan

  The free site address should be beneath the two paid for options. Unless you have typed your site address into the top field. If so try removing that and refreshing and you should see the address of your free site and a button to “skip purchase”.

  Thank you soooo much I went into the app and found that as you described rather than the desk Top and it worked 😊 have a fabulous evening
