Launch Site

I am trying to launch my site and get the ‘Coming Soon’ screen t go away but the ‘Launch Site’ button on the Dashboard is now gone. How can I launch my site publicly?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OH! Almost didn’t catch this one! So it appears that your site is live… however, the HTTPS version is not launched and the HTTP version is. This may be a problem with the way your hosting environment is setup, it may be your .htaccess file, it could be a WordPress plugin.
I’ll go out on a limb and say you installed WordPress via your hosting provider (bluehost) and have run into this problem. At the moment, the default on your server seems to be HTTP.
If I use the link above, from your post, the http version will show. If I type it into my browser or type out https, then the https (coming soon) version will show. There should be some WordPress plugins to enable https across your entire site. I would recommend that you turn on https if possible.
I will also point out that ignoring this problem will potentially have negative effects as some people’s browsers attempt to force https versions of sites by default. In that case they would land on your coming soon page and not your active blog.

https://my.bluehost.com/hosting/help/182This only solves half the problem thought.
I believe vanilla WordPress does not have an option for HTTPS by default so you will need a plugin for this. Here are some articles that may help you.

It looks like you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site. This forum is strictly for WordPress.com hosted sites.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
Here’s a post related to this setting: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/a-new-wordpress-site-coming-soon-still-displayed-after-publishing/#post-10075749
You’ll want to use the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/ for any support on managing your site. Hope that helps to point you in the right direction!

Hi wptester0! I took your advice and everything is good. I installed the plugin and Bluehost offers a free SSL certificate. Although my site is still not loading. Am I required to set up Google Analytics and authenticate my account before my site will become visible? Thank you!

The site is redirecting too many times, which usually means that SSL is not set up correctly. Unfortunately, this is not a WordPress.com issue. You need help from WordPress.org, the software you use. Please seek help at the forums for your site, since we’re not able to assist from here. Sorry for the confusion over the two sites!
