Launch site

Hi @raegansfullmind, during the site launch wizard, you should have an option to skip the paid domain, or you’d be welcome to simply set the site to public here:

Hi, I’m also having this issue. When I click on the ‘settings’ link provided, the settings to make my site public are greyed-out and the only thing I can select takes me to ‘launch site’, which again forces me toward a paid option.
-
After you click Launch, type out your site’s free *.wordpress.com or *.*.blog address in the domain box. Then you’ll be able to launch the site on the free plan, without being required to upgrade.

Hi kokkieh, that isn’t working. If I don’t enter anything in the box I can select ‘skip purchase’ to use the .wordpress.com extension, but after selecting ‘skip purchase’ it shows me a list of plans which are all paid. I receive no options for unpaid after that, or an option to skip this page.

Hi there, look at the bottom of that list and see if your free wordpress.com address appears there.
If it doesn’t appear there, could you please share a screenshot of what you are seeing? https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

Hi justjennifer, see below; images are linked rather than embedded.
First I can select the free one just fine.
Then in step 2 it only gives me paid options. Someone in another thread suggested I should be getting a ‘continue with free’ link somewhere else on the page, but there isn’t one.
When I went to my settings to do it that way, they were greyed out.

Hmm, that’s odd, when I access your account, this is what I see in the 2nd step: https://d.pr/i/Fkl3hT
Could you please try to to that from a different browser and let me know if the option appears there?
