launching a site

  I created a whole new blog and thought I picked a free domain at first and then created everything and am now ready to launch and it wants me to pick a domain name again and they all cost money? I had trouble with my first free layout so I moved it all to a new spot but didn’t think that would affect anything. Please help I am taking a course on blogging and need to launch it before Monday. Thank you.
