launching new website
-
Recently I attempted to create my first simple website page through an easy to follow youtube tutorial; however, I inadvertently diverted away from the pivotal ‘install’ wordpress screen (I managed to copy my username and password) and do not know enough to find my way back there to complete and henceforth launch my website. Whenever I type my domain name into the search bar, it takes me to ‘hugedomains.com’ page. Have contacted HostGator, who suggested contacting my hosting providers main support line. Is this wordpress? Can anyone out there help me find my way back to installing wordpress.

Hi there,
Where are you trying to install WordPress? WordPress is the name of the software you’re using to build your site, and if you’re installing it, it means you’re not building your site with us – WordPress.com is a hosting provider for the WordPress software, but we use our own version of that software that comes pre-installed when you create a site with us.
Whenever I type my domain name into the search bar, it takes me to ‘hugedomains.com’ page.
What is the domain you bought from Huge Domains? It sounds like that domain still needs to be pointed to your hosting provider, but I have no way to tell you who that is. In order to install WordPress you’d first have needed to create a hosting account with a hosting provider, and this likely involved paying them as well. So that’s who you need to contact for help here – the company where you purchased a hosting plan prior to installing the WordPress software.
