  Hi, I can’t seem to launch me site for free? If I chose the ‘portfolio/professional’ option at the beginning of making my site, will I not be able to launch it for free, even if I am using the ‘.wordpress.com’ domain?
  Please help me out ASAP my assignment is due in 3 days.

  Sure you can. When launching the site you have the option to skip the domain purchase and stay with the free .wordpress.com address.
