launching site

  hello there. I like to launch a blog, i made a domain name thegoldenteacher.wordpress.com now i like to make it publoc but i cant use this name, im confussed, it would be best for me to start without having to pay and i thought this was possible. which is the best way. thank you so much

  I found the answer @ https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/creating-a-site-without-a-domain-3/#post-3508092

  You just type in what you want like “mysitename” and then add on .wordpress.com and it will let you register a free subdomain.

  Sorry, i take it back.

  Entering either rogerbbegood.wordpress.com or rogerbbegood does not work at Step 2 of Creating a Site. (https://wordpress.com/start/domains)
  Is it stuck in a loop?

  When I try to create my 1st Post by clicking “Write” at the top right, OR when i try to create my 1st site, it puts me to https://wordpress.com/start/domains?ref=calypso-nosites in a loop.

  Is there a 3rd way to do this that lets get a free subdomain, pretty please? :)

  SOLUTION: I allowed wordpress.com in the “uBlock Origin” addon for Firefox/Chrome and now it works, yeahhh :) Did you figure it out @jtllama or does something similar work for you?
