launching site without paying

  I chose a free domain name a week or two ago: thisisbookramblings.wordpress.com. I received an email to confirm this. Since then, I have been customising my design. When I just went to launch the site, it told me I needed to chose a domain name. I tried putting in the one it says in my confirmation email but it isn’t accepting it and when I even click transfer, It’s asking me to pay for a monthly plan, when I’ve already chosen the free one for now. How do I launch my site?

  After clicking the “Launch site” button make sure that you leave blank the field at the top that says “Enter a name or keyword”. Instead just click on “skip purchase” at the bottom right next to your new free address.
