Launching site without upgrading to premium

  Hi, when I try to launch my site, it takes me straight to the page to select a domain by upgrading to pro. I just want a personal blog without having to upgrade. Please can you assist?

  Creating your own site is free and can be done by clicking on the ‘My Sites’ link in the header up top or by clicking the below link.

  Note:
  Your free WordPress.com site will look like this: https://yoursitename.wordpress.com.

  If you want to have a site that looks like https://www.yoursitename.com then you will have to purchase the Pro plan.
