Hi there!
Can you let us know what your site URL is now and who you use for your email service? Also what kind of site will you be creating – something for a business, an e-commerce store, or something else?
Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise on what you’ll need to get started!
Thanks!

site URL is http://www.uniquesupplyusa.com
This site will be for a business and our email provider is google mail

Perfect, thank you. If you’re using Google email now, you can keep that and it will work the same here as it did there, just as soon as you add your plan and connect your domain. When you have a paid plan, you’ll also have access to direct support, so you can hop into a chat and have us double check the domain settings for you.
I can see you have many of your pages set up here on our services already. Are you ready to go live with that or would you like to adjust anything first?
I noticed you have a menu on the front page in big text. Would you like the menu to be on every page of the site, perhaps near the top of the site? If so, you could add it to your header template part.

First, attention to detail on checking out our website before answering is top notch! I’ll look into and and see what we would like to change!
We were not planning on importing over text and images.
I think my main question, and not to be rude is, how the hell do I do all the DNS server and url sh**? hahaha Would like to do the transfer on a Friday / Saturday to give us time to make sure its good to go for Monday and that the emails are working properly.
Excuse my ignorance, just genuinely don’t know what is existing where and what will / won’t be affected!
Thanks for all your help!

Additionally, I believe we pay for our email service (google) through Wix. How would we transfer this over without losing all of our emails?

Ha, nothing to worry about there, we don’t expect that you’ve gone to college for any of this. :)
We’ll actually walk you through everything when the time is right but first let’s chat about email.

I’ve taken a look at the domain settings for uniquesupplyusa.com (which I can see in the public WHOIS info here) and I can confirm that I see Google mail server settings. Sadly we can’t accept a transfer of your email account directly, this is a limitation Google places on all resellers (we’re also a reseller) so we don’t have a way around that.
The good news is that typically you can cancel email with Wix, and then start billing with Google directly instead. You may wish to contact Wix support to confirm, but when you transfer your domain your email will keep on working, you will just need to contact Google directly to start your billing with them so you can access any inboxes you’ve already set up.
Would like to do the transfer on a Friday / Saturday to give us time to make sure its good to go for Monday and that the emails are working properly.
I’ve taken a peek at uniquesupplyusa.wordpress.com and it looks great, and seems like everything is ready to go! To connect uniquesupplyusa.com to your site and launch it you will first want to upgrade to our Personal Plan, since it’s not possible to change the address on free WordPress.com sites.
If it’s in your budget I recommend the annual billing option, which is a definite savings as indicated above. I also mention it is because the annual plan also includes a free domain transfer, and once the transfer is complete we add an extra year of free domain registration for more savings.
Once you’ve upgraded, let us know and we can walk you through the next steps to get your domain connected so you can launch the new site by Monday, which seems completely reasonable. :)
Thanks!
