    Hello there,

    We are a small resort town in Idaho. I was recently hired as an employee of the City and have past experience with WordPress. I’d like to build our City a new website but I was wondering if there are any options for towns like ours, such as how much it would cost to obtain the site for a longer period of time. We would love to get the site for life, for example, or something long-term, and were wondering if we could get a discount.

    Hi,

    Just to clarify, when you ask:

    how much it would cost to obtain the site for a longer period of time.

    Do you mean, “registering a domain name for a longer period of time” or “prepaying for hosting the website for a longer period of time”?

    In either case, there is unlikely to be a “lifetime” offer on the table from any domain registrar or website host, I’m afraid. Lifetime offers tend to be problematic from a business point of view.
