Lay out of my wblog is in shambles…
-
Don’t know what happened, but all of a sudden my weblog (http://hanslcv.wordpress.com) is a total mess. My headbar has disappeared, the widgets which are supposed to be on the right side are gone… what happened?
I am on the road in Thailand, have recently updated my log, everything looked just fine, and now this… please help!

The blog actually looks okay to me, although it took awhile to load the header. What browser are you using? I’m using Firefox.
-
I have to add though, that when I am logged in and check ‘view site’, then everything appears to be normal. Jeez, this is mystifying…
-
Don’t know, I’m in an internetcafe at the moment, don’t have a clue…
Will just wait what other members have to say – maybe it’s just temporarily? Also noticed my header loads a bit slow, what could be the reson for that?

With the internet cables being cut in the middle east, it’s having an affect on the whole world. My actual connection speed is running a third of what it was. I’m seeing your header just fine, and your sidebar is on the right side of your posts (archives, recent posts, recent comments, blog stats).

Thanks, sounds reassuring, but what about this?: when I open the weblog of my son (http://theherosjourney.wordpress.com) all is just fine, but when I substitute his address for mine in the address bar, my weblog appears screwed up.
So if this computer is faulty, why does it produce my sons weblog correct, and mine, opened in the same location, is a mess?

Who knows for sure? What I know, is that in Firefox and Safari on Mac, and in Firefox and IE7 on Windows, your site is fine. The header is there, the sidebar is there and in place, everything is fine. Asia is effected by the cut internet cables in the middle east, and all the traffic is being rerouted over what are now, very overloaded trunks.

FWIW, from a couple thousand miles east of thesacredpath, your site also looks fine to me in IE7.
-
I’m speculating, but maybe your son’s blog’s images and formatting are on a server with which Thailand can connect at the moment; yours might be on a different one, which cannot connect. We can see it because we’re all able to connect with the server.

Yes, my son lives in London. Ok guys, thanks a lot, I’m reassured now. Happy travels! (Am on my bicycle, riding all the way down to Singapore. Started in Chiang Mai last week, and needed a rest after 800 kilometres of bone dry Central Plains. Will continue day after tomorrow.)

Not at all. Granted, it’s very hot at times, but nothing a litre of water (or fresh coconut juice) can’t solve.
