Lay out? Table with 2 colums and several rows

I have several pages on my blog with lists (lists of restaurants and of shops).
I have made these list with a simple table: <table><tbody> <tr> and <td>.In the left column, there is a photo, in the right, the description.
On some pages, the images have been cropped and are hardly viewable anymore (even is I change their size to a larger one).Eg here:
https://brugesvegan.com/list-restaurants-bruges/But this is not the case for example on this page (images in table remain viewable, larger)
https://brugesvegan.com/shops-bruges/1) is there another way to make lists with an image on the left, and the text on the right
2) how can I make the image bigger, but still keep the site responsive (adjusting the size when viewing on mobile etc).
3) how come there is a difference between the layout in these pages?Thanks!

I want to know how I can make the image in the table appear bigger. Somehow, it is automatically changed to an (nearly) unviewable format.

Hi, @brugesvegan,
It appears you still have the small photos. I took a look at your site. If you are using HTML only I believe if you add:
width=”##%” to the first <td> tag in the table, it will enlarge your photos for you, as needed. Adjust the percentage as needed.
Example:
<td width ="50%">Let me know if that helps or if you need additional assistance.
