Layout and Design advice/help/tip
-
Hello,
So I have my blog – mackintoshracing.com and I am looking for any advice or help with the layout and design of it. I have a few posts now.
One thing i dont really like is when I make a blog post and put pictures in it, the text goes above and below the picture but never on the same line. It crates lots of space where I could have the writing.
Also when viewed on the computer I am on now (work comp) the main picture is not adjusting to the size of the screen so its fits nicely to view. Any help with that?
And is there anyway I can put a background or something to make it look a bit more exciting that just white?
Thanks in advance
Andy

Hi there! Your site is hosted elsewhere, and is not a WordPress.com site, so for support, please see the WordPress.org forums for future questions so you receive accurate help (since there are some differences between the two).
For moving your text closer to your images, you can set the image alignment so that your text will wrap around it (rather than having to be on a totally separate lines). To do that, when you add a photo to your post, click it to select it, then you’ll see the alignment options appear. If you choose left or right, that will shift your image and your text will automatically wrap around it.
I’m not sure which main picture you’re seeing that isn’t adjusting to screen size, as all of the ones I checked seemed to resize appropriately.
For backgrounds, your theme may have some customization available there. Check under Appearance > Customize to see what the theme has built in.
See you over in the .org forums! :)
