Layout issues with Internet Explorer
-
Hello,
My blog layout is having issues with Internet Explorer v 6 and v 9 (it’s fine with v 10, 7 and 8).
I’ve uploaded a screenshot here: http://wp.me/a3AnyU-1S to show you where the problems are (mainly formatting of the title and subtitle as well as menu which has disappeared from the top).
I’ve tried to follow the steps outlined here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ without any success…
I also looked at the HTLM code on the homepage and there doesn’t seem to be any misplaced tags or anything…
Since ‘twenty twelve’ (the name of the template I’m using) is free, do you think that purchasing a premium template would solve my problems?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Internet Explorer 6 and 7 are not supported and haven’t been for over a year as far as I can remember.

No.

I am more concerned about IE 9 which might still be widely used….
(the screenshot above http://wp.me/a3AnyU-1S was taken after testing IE v 9….)Is there a way to contact the theme developers directly?
Thanks in advance

When IE9 is run in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE& which is not a supported version.
Twenty Twelve is the WordPress default theme developed by Themes Staff here. I’ll tag this thread for Themes Staff attention. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hi Delphine,
I checked your blog in IE9 and was unable to reproduce the problem you showed in your screenshot. Can you check your compatibility settings and let me know if you have the Compatibility View turned on in your browser?
You can view and change your compatibility settings by going to the Tools menu and selecting Compatibility View settings. Make sure that “Display all websites in Compatibility View” is not selected.
If that doesn’t resolve the issue for you, please let me know!
