    Lucian,

I visited your site, and it appears that your layout is centered. This is what I am seeing:

If you’re hoping to accomplish something else, please let me know your specific goals and I can help further. Many thanks!

    Hi!
    Thanks for the quick reply!

On the particular page from your screen shot, it only looks centred because of the small with of the thumbnails. But on the other two pages, the non-centred look is unfortunatelly clearly visible…

Thanks for any ideas & suggestions!

    Hi again,

    that´s what I mean by „not centered“…

I tried a lot to fix it, but since being a new be in WP, I would appreciate your help. :)

    Greetings, Lucian

    Hello Lucian!

I think I see the trouble you’re having. Your theme, Pictorico, is set up to have 4 posts with featured images appear underneath the header. Because you only have 3 posts published, the 4th space is empty. This makes your site look imbalanced. As soon as you create another post with a featured image, this will change.

Here is a support page for your theme, which contains other setup information you may find helpful:

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

    Hi!

Thanks, your advice worked well on the start-page. Ass soon as there are 4 posts, the start-page looks centered.

BUT: inside the post itself, pictures do not center, when horizontally aligned.
    Only one-picture columns appear centered…

    See: http://lucian-grezza.com/2014/08/05/maastricht-sesion/

    Thankful for any suggestions!

    Greetings!

    Hello there!

    Thanks for the information!

First off, the post you sent me as a broken image link. The Dog image isn’t appearing properly, but there is a space being held for it, so it’s pushing your images to the right. You should open the Post in the editor and remove/replace the image.

If you want your images to all appear on the same line, I suggest creating an Image Gallery. This will give you the ability to layout your images with more precision than simply loading them one at a time into a post.

    Here are those instructions:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

Let me know if this process works well for you. Thanks very much!

    HI!Thanks for the support!

I changed the picture (dog) but this does´t change the layout within the post.
The four pictures still appear too far left (not in the centre). Will try your advice and reorder them in a gallery-structure…

To me it seems, that the Pictorico-template has a bug, so I am forced to choose another one.
Pretty sad, because generally, I like this particular template…

    Best regards!

    Lucian

    Hi there!

I think you’ll find that the gallery layout will work well. It’s a more sophisticated way to create image layouts on your site.

It isn’t a bug in Pictorico that is causing your images to be justified with the rest of the content. It’s a design choice on the part of the developer. You can force the images to be centered, but be forewarned, it might look odd as the tags and footer are not centered, by design.

    To center your individually-added images:

    1. Click Posts → All Posts.
    2. Open Maastricht Sesion in the editor.
    3. Click on the Text tab above the content editor.
    4. You will see html code there. Above ALL the code, paste the following:

      <div style=”text-align: center;>

    5. Below all the html, paste the following:

      </div>

    6. Save your changes.

See if you like the way that looks. Hopefully between the gallery-option, and the second option I’ve offered, you’ll find something you like.

    Thanks!
