In the editing view my images are in a horizontal line and yet the published view has them all in a vertical line – how can I fix this

    Hi there,

Can you show me an example of this? I only ask because I took a look at this post and found that the images were vertical in this post editor and published views:

Please note that the alignment of the images can be a bit difficult as it can be determined by the theme. One way to get around this is to add your images to a Gallery. We have multiple gallery types that may interest you. Take a look here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

I find that this looks a lot cleaner and professional if you are adding multiple images to a post/page.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Thank you for the info on the galleries – I will use that too.

But yes, superheroes is a good example of what I am having a problem with. This happened when I changed themes. The Portfolio page use to have rows of five images across and now they are all lined up on the left side (even in the edit view). Am I not able to control where the images go in this theme? That seems pretty weird :/

    Hi there,

I see that you are now using the Expound theme. Are you still having this issue?

Controlling the images should be within the editor. If you need to align the images there’s a way by putting them in a table using HTML. Would you like me to help you with that? Let me know!

Thank you , yes, please tell me how to make a table. I was using a different theme for the past year or so (I can’t remember what it was called) and I was able to put images in and play with the size and placement in the edit view and they stayed that way in the published view – now all of those posts have the images alined on the left side in a vertical line. I have 12 post that have this problem now :(

Sure you can do this by putting the images in a table via the Text Editor. Please paste this in:

    <table align="center"><tr><td>
    IMAGE URL 1
    </td><td>
    IMAGE URL 2
    </td><td>
    IMAGE URL 3
    </td></tr></table>

Where it states IMAGE URL (1,2,3) please paste in the url of your image. Make sure the URL ends with an extension specific to an image file (such as .jpg, .gif, .png, etc.). So this would put 3 in a row. If you need more, just add it under the third image in the same format.

    Cheers!
