Layout problem
-
Hi,
I am having trouble with my blog http://www.thatswhatsheread.com.au, specifically with the sidebars. It was all working well, and I decided to change themes. I changed to “Kent”(which only allows sidebars on the footer of the page) but finally settled on “twenty eleven”.
My sidebars will not move from the footer of the page.I have followed Support’s Layout instructions (found here – http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/layout-issues/). When I change “reading settings”, so that the blog posts ‘show at most’ setting is 1, and the problem continues to occur for all pages.
I would appreciate help so that my sidebar is on either the left or right side of the screen, please!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. For the record, “bump” doesn’t move you higher in the queue here. The thread is ordered by earliest post so that people don’t have to wait longer. Bumping your own thread makes it look like there’s more recent activity and that it’s not as old, so you actually moved yourself farther down the list by bumping. Yikes!
It looks like right now there is a sidebar on the left side of the screen on the home page, but no sidebar when you click into a specific post. Unfortunately, that’s the way Twenty Eleven is designed — with the intent that on a specific post there are no distracting sidebars. I see that they don’t make this clear on the theme page at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentyeleven/. Pages are that way by default as well, though with pages you can change to a sidebar template to make it look like the home page.
I have to admit, this very thing bugged me to no end when we made this theme (I was on the core development team). If you want a sidebar on your individual posts, a different theme would need to be used. Twenty Ten is pretty similar and includes sidebars on all pages, or you could just browse through the theme directory to find something you like.
