Layout problems – Elegant Grunge theme

  I just switched to the Elegant Grunge theme, uploaded my custom headed with the correct pixel size and everything on my blog appears jumbled and chaotic. I tried switching browsers but had the same problem with both Safari and Firefox.

  How can I correct this?

  You have the custom CSS upgrade it looks like and since CSS is theme specific it is messing up this new theme.

  Go to appearance > edit CSS and copy out all your custom CSS and save it in a plain text file and then delete everything from the CSS edit window, make sure “add to existing…” is checked and then click “save stylesheet” and everything should straighten up for you. You might have to force refresh your browser, or perhaps even clear your browser cache.

  What if I have not edited any of the CSS?

  CSS is theme specific. Each theme author decides what they are going to call things and how they are going to structure the page. No two are the same.

  If you pasted the CSS for a different theme into the CSS edit window, then that CSS is being applied to the new theme.
