For a course I am being ask to do something on WordPress…but I cannot figure it out and I am desperate for help.
Here are the instructions of the assignment:
‘Use WordPress ( http://www.wordpress.com ), or another blogging platform to set up a blog. The subject of the blog doesn’t matter too much, but try to make it appropriate to a technical writing orientation.
Once you have created the blog, put a dummy post up with a little bit of writing and a couple of images in it.Then, use two different templates on your blog. Preferably choose two different templates (the templates must use different fonts and layouts).
Write a comparison critique that evaluates the two templates critically. Compare their use of fonts, spacing, text alignment and grouping of visual elements. What do you like from each template, and what do you think could be different or better? Provide appropriate screenshots of your blog with each template applied to support your comparisons. Include the names and sources of the themes that you are using.

I was able to create a site without any problem and I was even able to post an article (twice) however they have the same layout…HOw can I change the layout?thanks

You can choose different themes that are available here:
https://theme.wordpress.com/There’s also a drop down menu if you click on Find A Theme. There you can select different options to help filter your search. Once you find one you like, you can demo or activate it.
