Layout when emailed is wrong

My post looks wrong when emailed to followers. It looks fine when people come to WordPress but there are people who have chosen to be sent a copy automatically by email whenever I post something new and the emails look very different. How can I rectify this?

Hello there,
The subscription emails will not have the same formatting as your theme. You can’t customise the formatting as such. The formatting on the email is automatically generated and is done such that it looks good on mobile devices and email desktop clients the same. Some times the formatting might look different because the email client couldn’t display it correctly.Where are you reading these emails? Is it on the browser(gmail, yahoo,
live mail) ? Are you using a client like Outlook etc?
Could you try checking on the formatting on different email clients and see if the formatting is unusable? -

I have been viewing the emails in Outlook 2013.
Would it help it I selected a different WordPress theme?
Poss a mobile theme?
If so what would that change do to my past blog posts?

Hi Ray,
The emails are not theme specific, the emails are generic. Outlook uses a different parser (Word 2013 app is used for parsing content), and hence it might not look the same as intended. A change of theme is not necessary and I would’t suggest it. Please check the same mail on a different client or web browser, and am sure it will look fine. -
