Learn more about a theme?
-
Hello,
I currently use the Oblox theme which i think suites my blog quite nicely.
However I would like to look at other themes in a little more detail than what the preview offers.
I’d like to be able to view the colour options, custom header settings and stuff before I apply the theme. Can I do this? Or do I need to activate the theme before i can mess around with it?
Thanks,
Dave
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The blog linked to your name is empty and uses Motion – we need a link to the blog in question to give you an accurate answer

The theme on the free hosted WordPress.com blog linked to your username is Motion. There is no Oblox theme at WordPress.com. If you are not referring to a free hosted WordPress.com blog then you are posting to the wrong support forum and must post to http://wordpress.org/support/ instead

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or themes into them. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

My blog is: https://retrovgm.wordpress.com
It uses the selects theme.
I would like to do more than preview a theme before I activate it.
I dont want FTP access and the site isn’t hosted elsewhere.
I have no idea what you mean by ‘used motion’Thanks,
Dave

The blog linked to your username is wearing a theme called Motion. Thanks for post in link to your other blog retrovgm.wordpress.com which is wearing the Selecta theme. See here for information on that theme > http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/selecta/
Also note the demo site > http://selectademo.wordpress.com/ -
P.S. I would like to apologize for my previous confusion. I’m sorry I was way off track. :(

You can also make a test site – use a variation or extension of your base name to keep from burning a good name for someone else – then export some Posts from your live site – import them to the test site – set the test site to Private and test away –

a test site, yes I like that idea.
I thought I’d changed my primary blog to retrovgm as I dont really use the other one. Thanks for the help and advice :)
