Thanks so much. But I think I’m looking for something more detailed and in-depth. Like Coding, SEO, and Backlinks. Like I said I want to be able to create a full-functioning website for a potential client and deliver it to them

Thanks so much, but I believe I need something more in depth, For example, I am looking for courses that cover the following:

How to build a functioning website. To create for a potential client. I would like to deliver the following if my client requests it:

Social Media Integration, Contact Form, Color Branding, Responsive design multiple Page website with Premium Design, Slider, & Speed Optimization

    WordPress installation and setup
Custom Website from Scratch using Elementor Pro
    Complete WordPress website & blog
    Social Media Integration
    Contact Forms
    Google Maps
    Mailing lists
    Fully Responsive design
    High-level Security
    Fast Loading Speed
    WooCommerce with payment gateway set-up.
Custom Woocommerce Product/ Shop Pages using Elementor Pro

I would like to learn coding too, if needed.

    Thank you

  • Hello there,

Being honest, as a starting point – you should look at the links provided above by our lovely volunteers before getting into the extended stuff. The links go through the basics of how WordPress works, and this foundation of knowledge is required.

We also offer courses which may be useful to you too, you can find them here: https://wpcourses.com/

Now, getting into the extended stuff, we can provide links to resources, but we’re not able to walk you through a build from start to finish via these forums, mainly because these are support forums for those who need help with websites hosted with WordPress.com.

Fortunately these days, what you’ve listed above, is usually built into today’s contemporary themes and plugins, and so arguably the success of a build hinges on the choice of themes and plugins used to fulfill a client’s brief.

Most web designers have spent a few years getting to grips with these various areas of knowledge (especially coding), and thankfully, the WordPress community consists of a friendly and helpful group of people. I can suggest https://www.youtube.com/@TylerMoore – who shows people how to build different sites from start to finish. It’s worth looking at these before taking a client… You may be able to follow what Tyler is doing there.

I’d like to leave you with one more piece of information. There are two types of WordPress. WordPress.com (which is where the site is hosted here, we manage the updates, security and infrastructure for you) and WordPress.org, known as self-hosted WordPress. This is where the free open source WordPress is downloaded from WordPress.org and installed on a server/host of your choice. The pros and cons of each approach can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

What can be done on self-hosted WordPress, can more or less be done on WordPress.com, with the caveat that the business plan may be required to run the right plugins and themes.

I’m hoping this steers you in the right direction.

Thank you so much for all your help. I will take a look at the links. I just thought there was more to creating a website for a client, didn’t know of all the stuff that is already there. Got a lot to learn still. :)
