“Leave a reply” box

  I usually need my wordpress blogs to open on a static page.

  But I do not like the “Leave a reply” box that automatically appears at the bottom. It is both massive and useless to me.

  Is there a way to remove it ?

  Edit the page, look to the right for the Discussion box.
  Open that and uncheck the comments, then save.

  You may also want to uncheck the trackback box while there as well.

  I’m trying to reply on a page and there isn’t a Leave a Reply box. All I get is

  But I am logged in. When I click the “logged in to post a comment” it says I’m logged in. Help?

  Clear your cookies and your browser cache and do a forced reload of the page. That should help. Also, logging in to a WordPress.org account doesn’t count as being logged in to WordPress.com. Check to make sure you’re logged in on the platform that the blog in question exists on.
