Leave a Reply box (removal)

I’m completely new at this so forgive me if I look like a massive newbie when I ask the following question.
Is it possible to remove my “Leave a Reply” box on my wordpress?
At the moment I’m currently using the free version, so if there is an option to remove this box – do I have to subscribe to a premium service?Thank you to anyone that can help me out here!

You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.

Thank you for your speedy reply!
I have unchecked ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles’ but the Leave a Reply box is still available.For instance on the URL:
https://techpalconsulting.wordpress.com/about/The “Leave a reply” box doesn’t seem to be able to go away and it’s doing my head in!
