How do you leave a commnent in the following site: http://www.lu1bjw.net?
Where you click to start writting a commnets?= -
That site is not hosted here at wordpress.COM (I see that it is your blog that you have moved elsewhere. Be aware that self-hosted installations are NOT supported here at wordpress.COM and that your questions should be directed to the wordpress.ORG forums located at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ )
Click on the blog tab and then on the no comments link in the post.

Hello Vivian, I will redirect the question. However I don´t understand you last sentence. Regards
-
The direct page that you linked to is a static page with no comments allowed. To leave a comment, you have to get to the blog itself, which you do by clicking on the blog tab and then the comment link to the left of the post.

I hope someone can help me. my blog is: gatheringtraditions.wordpress.com
I had hoped that people would come to my blog…and be able to click on “Halloween” and see posts about halloween traditions…….or click on Valentines Day….and see traditions about that holiday.
I seem to only be able to have people leave a comment on my initial post….and no way to catagorize them.
If they click on the “comments” on a post about Mothers Day…it just comes up blank.
What am I doing wrong??
Help!
Thank you,
-
However, all the pages are setted at the setting “comments & ping” as allow comments and allow pings.
Would you like to talk on Skype? Send me an email with your id. Thanks for your help. Regards -
First of all, link your name to your blog by going to your Profile page and putting your blog URL in under “website” INCLUDING the http part. This means that when you leave comments here or anywhere on a WP.com blog your name is a clickable link to your blog. It’ll save time and increase your readership.
Your categories seem fine to me; most of your posts are categorized. As for comments, you seem to have disabled them; under Settings->Discussion, what does it say?
@lu1bjw, you have an externally-hosted blog. It is not using the same software as ours. We will, therefore, not be able to help you with it. Support for independent blogs can be found at WordPress.ORG.
-
Please link your blog to your user name. Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one.Have you turned off comments in those posts? When I click on Happy Anniversary, for example, I should see the comments box down beneath the post but it is not there.
Edit the post and down near the bottom in the edit window, you should see Comments & Pings. Click the arrow on the left and make sure that the box “Allow comments” is checked.

Hello Raincoster, thanks for your commnets.
Under Settings / Discussion I have marked al the options except “Comment author must have a previously approved comment”
I think that moving the site to an external hosting is an step ahead on blogging, however I´m using the same software, means wordpress. So I don´t understand what do you mean that “is not using the same software as ours”. Anyway thanks for your help. Best regards -
No you are NOT using the same software. That’s what I told you in my first response. Please read the sticky at the top of the forum – https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1
We’ve helped you as much as we can. Please head over to the forum for self-hosted blogs http://wordpress.ORG/support

Vivianpaige….thank you! I will go through each post of the catagory & do that.
one more question…how can I stop the “related post” from showing up?
-
Thank you. I believe I have a concept problem and not a setting problem. Which is that the only way to leave a comment is where is a post that allow it. I will check all this info tomorrow again, Good night from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
-
@gatheringtraditions – to turn off related posts go in your dashboard to design > extras and check the box “Hide related links on this blog”
@lu1bjw – I think you got it. Buenos noches (and that is about the extent of my Spanish :( despite the fact that my next door neighbors are from Argentina)

Vivian! I have everything set up correctly now….I feel as tho Ive been swimming in oatmeal the last couple days trying to figure this out! :)
(care to post a tradition?? :)
Thanks much…
