"Leave Reply" form (under Comments) is missing important login icons!

    Hi,
I have a blog hosted free on WordPress.com. My users reported to me they were having trouble commenting. So I logged in and checked, and the paragraph below the “comment” box in the “Leave A Reply” form definitely has a problem:

Where it says “Please log in using one of these methods to post your comment:” there SHOULD be 3 little icons showing for the methods: WP, Twitter, and FB… but these icons have suddenly become INVISIBLE.

Yes, the actual links are there. (If you actually know to mouse over them you can see the link destinations come up in the browser’s tiny status bar. Except that almost nobody actually knows to do that.) : (

The problem is that these graphics are for mysterious reasons, INVISIBLE and my blog followers are completely confused, they don’t know where to click, so they believe they are stuck, unable to post comments.

How do we make the ICONS re-appear in order to fix this please?
    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

…I should also point out that it doesn’t matter which browser I try it in; Safari, Firefox and Chrome — all browsers are currently having this problem… I imagine the issue could be where the Icon graphics are being hosted at WordPress, possibly?

Hi there – are you still not seeing the icons? I checked in Firefox and Chrome and see the icons correctly in both.

Would it be possible to upload a screenshot to help in troubleshooting?

Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you’re not sure: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

You can upload the screenshot in your Media Library and then post a link so I can see it.

    Thanks!

    Hi, here is a link.

I double checked again just now, and the icons are still not coming up.
This is what I see when I go to the blog link, and attempt to leave a comment on one of the posts:
    http://carpoolcoutureandcocktails.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/page-detail-missing-icons.png

Weird, because I can roll over the hotspots where the WP/Twitter/FB icons should be and I see the mouse “react” by turning into a hand and the status bar shows a link.

To the novice however, this is like finding a lightswitch in the dark since the users need to know about these icons, to make comments…

    Thanks…

Thanks for the screenshot. The way the form works is that as soon as you put your cursor in the comment box and click, the various WordPress/Twitter/Facebook login options should appear.

Would you let me know if you see that behavior? Thanks!

    Hi Kathryn, and thanks.

Hurrah, the comment box now works again; something has fixed the problem I was describing all along (clicking in the comment box to be prompted with the message where it says “Please log in using one of these methods to post your comment:”) but seeing nothing. Today, we see all three little icons, no matter what browser.

So thank you very much if you (or somebody behind the scenes) fixed something in regards to those icons!
