Leave this page? message

When I update a page or a blog I click the update button and then try to close the blog or post. I’m then asked do I want to leave this page. Why does this happen please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If the page hasn’t updated properly, or is still in the process of updating, then you might see that message to warn you that if you exit the page your update might not be successfully completed.
This effect might be due a browser issue. That is, the issue might not occur if the browser has been recently updated, is working properly, and you periodically clear its cache.

This situation occurs whichever browser I use.
I amend a page, click on the update option, and the word ‘saving’ appears.I need to update the page more than once even without making further changes before the ‘leave this page query’ stops appearing.
It not a major problem but I think it must be avoidable.

It’s difficult to determine the precise cause given the information you’ve provided. However, given the fact that most users of WordPress.com evidently aren’t encountering this issue, it almost certainly has a local cause or group of causes. The effect suggests slow loading, which might have diverse causes. If the same effect occurs with all browsers, regardless of browser settings, then it might be caused by internet security software settings (e.g. firewall settings), a browser add-on, a connectivity problem, generally slow internet speed, etc.
You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention.

We certainly suffer from slow internet speed here in this part of Devon. However, I’m fairly certain that this particular difficulty started with the introduction of the new WordPress software a few weeks ago.Anyway it’s a problem I can live with but have added a ‘modlook’ tag as suggested. Thank you.

Musicdoc has given you accurate information, I’m afraid. There isn’t much else we can do without sitting in front of your computer. You could try clearing your cache or using a different browser or disabling any browser plugins/extensions. Do you have security software running?
